Smokey Robinson, age 82, performed on stage alongside Stevie Wonder and Chris Stapleton at the Grammy Awards on Sunday – Robinson’s wife, Frances Glandney, was in attendance.

She wore a pale blue pantsuit fitted with feathers, while Robinson donned a turquoise three-piece.

Billy Crystal introduced the three musicians, who then played The Way You Do The Things You Do, Tears Of A Clown, and Higher Ground.

Who is Smokey Robinson’s wife Frances Glandney, and what is their age difference?

Born in September 1948, Frances Glandney Robinson is currently 74 years of age. She’ll turn 75 later this year. Glandney is her maiden name.

Since her husband, William “Smokey” Robinson, is 82 (but soon to turn 83), the age difference between them is between eight and nine years, Frances Glandney being the younger.

According to public records, she currently lives in North Hollywood, California and has, in the past, lived in Las Vegas, Nevada; Gibsonia, Pennsylvania; and several other addresses in California.

Since what age have Smokey Robinson and his wife Frances Glandney been married?

Smooth Radio writes that they married in May 2002, i.e., not far off 21 years ago. In May 2002, Glandney would not yet have turned 54, while Robinson would have already turned 62.

A Medium article from 2017 describes her as an “accomplished interior designer.”

That year, however, they presented their latest joint business venture: a skin care line for people of color.

“I have dry skin due to my extensive travel schedule,” it quotes Robinson as saying. “I also play a lot of golf. Frances and I were looking for a solution. We tried just about everything that was on the market.”

But nothing worked, apparently. That is, until they developed their very own lines – Get Ready and My Girl. They get their names from two of Robinson’s hit songs.

Do they have children?

Not together, but Smokey Robinson had two children with his first wife, fellow Miracles member Claudette Rogers, whom he married in 1959.

Their children’s names are Berry (born 1968) and Tamla (1971). Smokey and Claudette divorced in 1986, two years after the birth of a third child, Trey, whose mother is not Claudette.

Frances Glandney therefore has three step-children in Berry, Tamla and Trey.

Since 2017/18, Smokey Robinson has made and sold wine out of his Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania address. Other outlets have claimed that Frances works with him on this particular enterprise.
