On the fateful evening of his passing, Andrew Bohm, a 57-year-old Newton resident, was cycling at the intersection of Watertown Street and Bridge Street in Nonantum. He tragically collided with a UPS truck, resulting in severe injuries. Newton Police responded swiftly to the scene, where Andrew Bohm was identified as the cyclist involved. The UPS truck driver, also a Newton resident, remained at the location.

Initial findings from the investigation revealed that the accident occurred at the intersection of Watertown Street and Bridge Street. The UPS truck driver was attempting a left turn onto Bridge Street while Andrew Bohm was travelling westbound on Watertown Street. Tragically, the collision led to Andrew Bohm’s passing.
