Boy, 10, dies in horror smash after being hit by car in Liverpool

A 10-YEAR-OLD boy has died in a horror crash after being hit by a car.

Cops were called to Abingdon Road, Walton, in Liverpool, around 4.30pm on Thursday.

The schoolboy was found with serious injuries after being hit by a black Ford.

He was taken to hospital in serious condition but has since passed away.

The driver stopped at the scene and is helping with enquiries, say cops.

Investigations are now being carried out.

Chief Inspector Bobby Woodhall said: “We have now launched an investigation into the collision and would urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or has CCTV and dashcam footage to please contact us.

“Every piece information is vitally important to our investigation to establish what happened.”
