Deb Hope Husband – Deb Hope (Deborra Jane Hope) was a Canadian journalist and anchor. She was a producer for Global owned-and-operated station CHAN-DT in Vancouver, British Columbia.

She had been with that station since 1981. She hosted the Early News at 5 p.m. and the InSight segment of the News Hour at 6 pm until her retirement in March 2014.

Deb Hope retired at the age of 67 after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. She had been in a long-term care facility in Vancouver until her death in May 2023. She passed away at the age of 67. Global B.C. said in a statement,

“It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Deb Hope. She was one of the most iconic faces in B.C. for decades and will be deeply missed. We are thinking of her family and loved ones.”

Deb Hope was a married woman. She had been married to Roger Hope until her death. Her husband is a Global BC news cameraman. They met through their work circle a few decades ago.

He saw Deb when he walked into a store. He saw her on the magazine cover page beside the cash register. From the store, he bought 4 tv Guides.

The incident occurred after she began her job on the Noon News. She was featured on the cover of TV Guide for the first time. At the cash register, the girl watched Roger and said,

“So, do you watch a lot of TV or what?”

Roger was embarrassed and answered,

“No, she is my wife.”

The girl said,

“Yeah, you wish!”

It is not known when they got married. Roger told in 2020,

“It’s been a heartbreaking journey. I mean, she’s still Deb. Still wonderful, loving, gorgeous. But she’s not the real Deb and she’s not with us anymore. And that’s breaking all our hearts.”
