Eric Guthrie, 56, of Loxahatchee Death; Victim identified in fatal excavator accident in Delray Beach

According to the inquiry into a deadly construction accident that occurred in Palm Beach County last month, the excavator’s operator lost control of the equipment.
On November 9, while workers were demolishing a house in Delray Beach, an accident occurred at Lewis Cove.
As he was driving the excavator over a pile of debris, the guy reported to the police that the equipment “began to shift off balance,” and suddenly the machine toppled over.
According to the article, Loxahatchee resident Eric Guthrie, 56, was murdered when the excavator’s arm fell on him while he was standing on a platform beside his truck.
The inquiry is being conducted by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
