Franco Harris was born on 7 March 1950 in Fort Dix, New Jersey, United States, and passed away at the age of 72. His full name is Franco Harris. He completed his higher education at Rancocas Valley Regional High School. After which he attended college at Penn State University. He used to play football for his college team. Franco Harris started his football career with the college team named Nittany Lions, where he played as a blocker.
He was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers for his first senior season in 1972 after playing with the college team. He played for Pittsburgh for 11 years until 1983. He was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the 1975 Super Bowl while playing for Pittsburgh.
He played for the Seattle Seahawks in 1984 for one year after which he retired. He received the American Academy of Achievement’s Golden Plate Award in 1984.
