According to Rockwall police, a traffic collision in Rockwall late Tuesday afternoon claimed the life of a 27-year-old Terrell man.

According to authorities, Grayson Davis of Terrell passed away following a collision involving an 18-wheeler pulling a trailer, an SUV, and a passenger car.

According to authorities, the driver of the 18-wheeler was sent by ambulance to a hospital with minor injuries, while one of the SUV’s passengers was airlifted there.

Police were called to reports of a significant accident on State Highway 276 just east of Rochelle Road shortly after 5 o’clock. Initially on the site, Rockwall County Sheriff’s deputies stabilised the situation.

Rockwall police were still looking into the accident’s cause as of Tuesday night. According to authorities, the route remained blocked in both directions and was scheduled to reopen at nine o’clock.
