Singer-songwriter John Lydon and German actor Nora Forster don’t share biological children but John is the stepfather of Nora’s daughter Ariane who was born from Nora’s ex-husband Frank Forster.

Ariane was the German singer Ari Up. Ariane passed away at the age of 48 years in October 2010 due to breast cancer. Their daughter Ariane settled in Kingston, Jamaica. Ariane was the mother of the twin sons including Wilton.

John and Nora are the legal guardians of their daughter’s twin sons because Ariane couldn’t cope with them anymore.

John said,

“They couldn’t read, write or form proper sentences. I suggested they came to us because I wasn’t having them abandoned. They gave us hell, but I loved having kids around.”

Singer-songwriter John Lydon’s wife Nora Forster got diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2018. She was in the mid-stages of the disease in 2018 that’s why in June 2020, John become a full-time carer for her because her condition has been deteriorating.

John said,

“Nora has Alzheimer’s… I am her full-time carer and I won’t let anyone mess up with her. For me, the real person is still there. That person I love is still there every minute of every day and that is my life. It’s unfortunate that she forgets things, well, don’t we all? I suppose her condition is one of like a permanent hangover for her. It gets worse and worse, bits of the brain store less and less memory and then suddenly some bits completely vanish.”
