Ubisoft’s own Breath of the Wild/Genshin Impact-styled open-world RPG, Immortals Fenyx Rising, is launching in mere days on December 3 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, Amazon Luna, and PC via Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store. Just like its battle royale title Hyper Scape, this game will also get unique connectivity with Twitch: a dedicated Twitch extension called ‘Monster Hunt’.

Immortals Fenyx Rising‘s ‘Monster Hunt’ extension is available on the game’s official Twitch channel. As its name stands, by using this extension you can hunt monsters in the middle of watching your favorite streamers play the game. Every two minutes, random monsters will appear on-screen. Simply click on them before the timer runs out to capture those loose beasts. When all 44 monsters have been captured you can get four different rewards to be used in the game:

  • In-game resource pack.
  • Cold Spell bow skin.
  • Shiver sword skin.
  • Avalanche axe skin.

In the Greek mythology-inspired Immortals Fenyx Rising, you will take control of Fenyx, the titular demigod. Roam freely across the cartoonish and colorful landscapes, solve ancient puzzles, and fight legendary beasts like Cyclops, Medusa, and Minotaur or face off against corrupted champion like Achilles using the mythical power granted by the gods of Olympus. These include the wings of Daidalos, the sword of Achilles, the bow of Odysseus, and more. Customize Fenyx’s appearance and discover new gear by gathering materials across the world to fulfill your destiny: free the lands from the chaotic influence of Typhon.

Ubisoft has detailed its post-launch season pass plans. Expect three narrative DLCs to expand the lore: A New God, Myths of the Eastern Realm, and The Lost Gods. In A New God, Fenyx went to Olympos Palace looking to join the Inner Circle of the Pantheon. Myths of the Eastern Realm explores Chinese-inspired mythology where you play as a new hero named Ku. And lastly, The Lost Gods features top-down gameplay as you control yet another hero, Ash. Sounds and looks promising? Tell me what you think of Immortals Fenyx Rising in the comments below.
