She wrote the single in about fifteen minutes and the song was about a National Outdoor Leadership School course. She was privileged to play the song for Pharrell Williams who visited her class to check student works. A video of the song also went viral which accumulated millions of views.

She graduated from the New York University Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music in May 2016 with a degree in music engineering, production, and English.
