Jalen is an American football player. He completed his schooling at Burleson High, Texas. He chose Florida over multiple offers from Georgia Tech, Liberty and Tennessee, Boston College, and many others. He was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, United States.

He appeared in three games this season as a redshirt freshman in 2022. He also made his collegiate debut versus Eastern Washington (October 2), reporting 8 completions for 152 yards, and had a touchdown versus Eastern Washington (October 2). He played his sophomore season at Brophy Prep in Phoenix (Ariz.). His ethnicity is one-quarter American-African because of his mother, Jennifer Kitna.
