Jane Kanehl Obituary Rochester, NY: In loving memory of woman struck and killed in Wegmans parking lot collision.

A 63-year-old woman was identified as the pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in the Wegmans parking lot in Perinton and later died at the hospital.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office identified the victim as Jane Kanehl.

On November 30, at approximately 10:33 a.m., an accident occurred at the store located at 6600 Pittsford Palmyra Road. According to deputies, a woman who had just got out of her car was run over by a vehicle operated by a man who was pulling into a parking spot. The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition by emergency medical services after receiving care on the scene.

On Friday at 10:21 a.m., Kanehl succumbed to her injuries.

Sun glare was determined by deputies as a contributing cause during their conversation with the driver and witnesses. They claim that there was no involvement with drink, drugs, or speed.
