Juneanne Fannell Shooting; Victim, Juneanne Fannell Shot Dead By Her Caretaker In New Mexico

According to police investigations and an alarming testimony, a terrifying and tragic sequence of events transpired in New Mexico when an 82-year-old bedridden woman, Juneanne Fannell, was fatally murdered barely four hours after anxiously reaching out to authorities expressing her worry for her safety.

According to recordings retrieved, Henry Cardana, the caregiver, made a panicked phone to cops, imploring them to remove the elderly patient from the Rio Rancho house, claiming her as unmanageable and in need of immediate evacuation for her protection.

Juneanne Fannell mentioned the presence of firearms in the residence in a frightening 911 call, indicating her unease and vulnerability.

Upon authorities’ arrival, a concerning conversation about firearms began, with Cardana confirming the presence of loaded weapons. Despite the gravity of the situation, a troubling discussion between Cardana and the elderly woman was captured on film by KOAT.

Juneanne Farrell questioned Cardana, eliciting a startling response from him that was captured on tape. When Juneanne queried what he said, Cardana answered chillingly, “I said you’re fine until I kill you,” prompting Juneanne to inform cops of the threat she had just heard.

Instead of intervening, the police departed the scene upon Cardana’s command to leave, as revealed in newly released CCTV from the April 5 confrontation.

Hours later, a neighbor’s frantic 911 call reported Cardana yelling that he had killed Fannell, prompting police to rush to the home, locate Cardana covered in blood, and charge him with murder.

Despite his own alarming words and the sequence of events shown on film, Cardana blamed the police for Fannell’s untimely death, expressing displeasure and pointing fingers at the authorities.
