Dart was extremely fortunate to walk away from what could have been a life-threatening injury to his head during today’s NCAA football game versus Crimson Tide. Dart’s head was wrenched like a bottlecap after Alabama’s Dallas Turner mistakenly rushed him as he dropped back to throw at the beginning of the third quarter. This happened after Dart had dropped back to throw the ball.

Jaxson Dart is a quarterback for the Ole Miss Rebels in American football. He was born on May 13, 2003, and currently attends Ole Miss. Dart went to high school and played football at Corner Canyon High School, which is located in Draper, Utah. He started his collegiate career at USC in 2021, however he would later move to Ole Miss the following year.

On May 13, 2003, Dart was born in Kaysville, Utah. His father, Brandon Dart, is his biological father (a former safety for the University of Utah). He began his high school career at Roy High School, where he remained enrolled for the first three years of his high school career before moving on to Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah. As a senior, he set a state record by passing for 4,691 yards and scoring 67 touchdowns while only throwing four interceptions, which led to him being named the Gatorade Football Player of the Year. In addition, he carried for 1,195 yards and scored 12 touchdowns. Additionally, the MaxPreps National Player of the Year award was bestowed to him. Over the course of his career, he finished with a total of 10,688 throwing yards and 117 touchdowns.
In spite of receiving an invitation to play collegiate football from Arizona State University and spending the offseason practicing with former ASU quarterback Taylor Kelly in Tempe, Arizona, Dart decided to sign with the University of Southern California (USC) instead.
In addition to participating in football, Dart was also a standout on the baseball team, where he was named to the all-state third baseman team twice.

Jaxson Dart at USC
In 2021, Jaxson Dart’s first year at USC, he competed with other quarterbacks for the opportunity to serve as Kedon Slovis’ backup.

In retaliation, Dart answered with a touchdown pass of 38 yards thrown toward the end of the first half. The rest of the game was played with Dart on fire.
Dart demonstrated his talent for improvisation as well as his impressive arm strength. The day ended with Dart completing 30 of 46 passes for 391 yards, scoring four touchdowns, and throwing two interceptions. In a dominating performance, the Trojans defeated the Cougars by a score of 42-14. The record for most passing yards ever by a USC quarterback in his first game was established by Dart with 391 yards, shattering JT Daniels’ mark of 282 yards set in 2018.
On November 20, Dart made his collegiate debut against UCLA, which was also his first career start.

Ole Miss
Lincoln Riley was hired to take over as head coach of the USC Trojans following the 2021 season. Dart submitted his transfer request to the NCAA while rumors were circulating that Oklahoma quarterback Caleb Williams might join Riley to USC. After that, he and Michael Trigg made their formal applications to attend Ole Miss.

The mother of Jaxson Dart Kara Dart was a valued member of the Weber High School basketball team during her time there.
Jaxon’s mother was formerly known by her given name, Kara Campbell, prior to her union with Jaxon’s father. She was named to the all-state basketball team not once, but twice. In addition to that, she participated in both volleyball and track during her time at the school.
Kara Dart, Jaxson Dart’s mother, is the person for whom the young man should feel the deepest gratitude. She has gone above and beyond for him in every way.
Kara, Jaxson’s mother, deserves the majority of the credit for the outstanding start that Jaxson has had to his professional career in football. Over the years, Kara has shown her son an unwavering love and dedication, and this has been the driving force behind Jaxson’s success.
Even though Dart’s father encouraged him to pursue a career in athletics, it was his mother, Kara, who taught him the importance of being humble and patient. “I began my football career as a strong safety, just like my dad, but by the time I was 9 or 10 years old, I made the switch to quarterback,” Dart explained.
Athletes are human just like the rest of us; just like the rest of us, they make mistakes and have to learn to live with the consequences; nevertheless, the majority of people are unaware that this is a natural aspect of being an athlete.
They came to watch a game, as that is the only thing that interests them at all. If the athlete made even one mistake, they would have to endure their fury. In this situation, Dart learned the importance of humility from his mother Kara, who was a two-time all-state basketball player at Weber High School.
His parents never missed a game of his, and after each one, they would sit down with him for dinner and have a conversation about life in general. In addition to that, he is not the only child that Kara and Brandon have. Kara is a mother to a pair of male children. Dart may occasionally keep an eye on his younger brother Diesel as he plays or gets ready for an elk hunting excursion on horseback.
