Lone Ruin Demo Announced at Steam Next Fest

Lone Ruin, the spell-based roguelike twin-stick shooter from Super Rare Originals and Cuddle Monster Games, will be available as a free playable demo for the first time via Steam from June 13th to June 20th, 2022, in celebration of the upcoming Steam Next Fest Presentation! The multi-day event brings news, updates, and live presentations from various developers on several upcoming Steam projects, and Lone Ruin is along the many receiving a demo during the festivities.

Developer Cuddle Monster Games has officially released the first free demo for its upcoming action roguelike shooter, Lone Ruin, as part of the 2022 Steam Next Fest! The multi-day event will celebrate several other awesome games from June 13th to June 20th, and the Lone Ruin demo will be available via Steam for the remainder of the celebration. No release date for the game is known at this time, but it will likely be revealed soon as the festivities continue.

Lone Ruin from the creators of Hell is Other Demons comes and is a spell-based roguelike twin-stick shooter where you play as an explorer seeling a mysterious ancient power in an old ruin built atop a source of magical goop. This goop was once used by olden mages to power and transform themselves. With the past citizens driven crazy and twisted beyond recognition, your arrival a millennia later isn’t exactly met with a warm welcome. As you dive deeper and deeper into the ruin and battle your way through twisted creatures, you will discover the secrets it has to offer and ultimately utilize your magic abilities to reach the bottom of the Lone Ruin.

The game offers tons of replayability value, and you must fight through a host of enemies and bosses in distinct, hellishly vibrant areas. Players must combine tons of spells and optimize them with equipable gems to enhance their fighting style while deciding their path. Presented in a unique semi-3D pixel art style, Lone Ruin’s popping color palette brings life to every randomized level, an action-packed treat for the eyes.
