Season 3 of 9-1-1: Lone Star has started off in ice cold fashion as its seen the cast of character faced with a deadly ice storm.

In episode 2, TK put his life on the line in order to save a young child who had become trapped under a sheet of ice.

However, the act of heroism has left TK fighting for his life with fans asking if Ronon Rubinstein’s character could die in 9-1-1: Lone Star.

Season 3 of 9-1-1: Lone Star continued with episode 2 on January 10th, 2022.

Titled Thin Ice, the episode continued the show’s ice storm story arc which has seen the team faced with a deadly blizzard.

In episode 2, TK put his body well and truly on the line as he risked hypothermia in order to save a young boy who had become trapped under the frozen surface of a lake.

Despite succeeding in saving the boy, TK did manage to trigger a bout of hypothermia and had to be rushed to the hospital with his life on the line.

Does TK die in 9-1-1: Lone Star?

No, TK does not die in 9-1-1: Lone Star.

TK’s fate was hanging in the balance after his freezing near-death experience in episode 2 with episode 3 later hinting that things could go downhill ever further for the unfortunate firefighter.

However, actor Ronen Rubinstein recently confirmed to TV Insider that: “If we put two and two together and we’ve been paying attention to me being on set, I think it’s safe to say that T.K. does not die.”

The actor added: “But that’s not to say that this most recent incident is not gonna affect him mentally and physically,” hinting that TK may not be the same after his near-death experience.

After leaving fans worrying for the character, TK miraculously woke up in episode 4 of the new season, defying the doctors who feared that it would be a case of when he died rather than if.

Fans hope to see TK recover

It’s safe to say that 9-1-1: Lone Star fans have not appreciated seeing TK’s life being put on the line once again with many taking to social media to offer up their thoughts.

One fan on Twitter wrote: “So I just watched season 3 episode 2 of 9-1-1: Lone star… OMG there’s so much that happened but Carlos’s face when he found out about TK, ah my heart cant handle it.”

While another added: “If they kill off TK not even rob lowe can keep 9-1-1: Lone Star on my watch list.”

This fan simply said: “I’m for real stressed out right now TK #911LoneStar.”

And finally, this fan referenced TK’s shooting in their comment: “Why is TK getting hypothermia more nerve wracking than him getting shot? #911LoneStar.”
