The Season 10, Episode 17 of "NCIS: Los Angeles" begins with Marty Deeks wandering onto Sam's (LL Cool J) boat at 3:00 a.m., having doubts about whether he's good enough for Kensi Blye. After hours spent trying to calm him down, Callen (Chris O'Donnell) tries to help, telling Deeks that if he wasn't good enough for her, he would've met with an "accident" long ago.
As Deeks starts to relax, mob boss Anatoli Kirkin (Ravil Isyanov) appears and tries to kidnap him. After Deeks, Sam, and Callen deal with Kirkin, another situation arises when members of the mob show up at the wedding looking for Kirkin. Luckily, Hetty (Linda Hunt) shows up just in time and runs down the bad guys with her car. The wedding then proceeds without any more drama.
While some fans felt the wedding deserved more seriousness, most viewers felt the episode was right on track. Haktylalkesh wrote on IMDb, "Could it have been more serious? Of course. But you know what, Deeks isn't the serious one and Kensi isn't either when she is with him." IMDb user Sakura_saku wrote, "This episode has everything that NCIS: LA does so well: great action, great humor and banter, great pacing, great character moments and development, and strong continuity and callbacks."
Viewers waited 10 seasons for this wedding, and judging by the 9.0 rating, it gave most fans exactly what they'd been hoping for.
