What Crime Did Lovelesh Tiwari Commit?
Lovelesh was one of the three killers who killed mafia-turned-gangster brothers Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf Ahmed. Two other killers have been identified as Sunny of Hamirpur district and Arun Maurya also known as Kalia of Baghela Pukhta village under Soron Kotwali police station of Kasganj.
They posed as journalists and fired at the gangster brothers when they were addressing media persons on their way to MLN Medical College for medical examination.
After firing at both the brothers from close range and ensuring that both were dead, all three dropped their weapons and lay down on the ground raising slogans of Jai Shri Ram. It was later learned that he said during interrogation that he wanted to become a famous and notorious mafia by killing gangster brothers.
Lovelesh was also hit by one of the attackers who was firing to kill the brothers. A case was registered against him and two other killers under IPC sections 302 (punishment for murder) and 307 (attempt to murder). He was treated at Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital in Prayagraj.
