Junaid Safdar’s mother Maryam Nawaz from the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), recently shared that he and his wife, Ayesha, have separated almost a year after their wedding.

Ayesha Saif originally belongs to Qatar and she is the daughter of Saif ur Rehman Khan, who used to lead the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and is a successful businessman with interests in Pakistan, Qatar, and the Middle East.

She was raised in Qatar, where she attended British primary and secondary schools and did very well in her exams, including O and A levels.

She went on to study in London, where she got into the prestigious University College London (UCL) and earned a degree in Civil Engineering (BEng).

Ayesha held a high position as Director at Redco International, a big company in Qatar involved in industry and contracting since 1981. They have a huge workforce of 20,000 employees and engineers.

Ayesha has various interests and hobbies. She loves reading, horse riding, interior design, and history. She also enjoys hiking, being in nature, and traveling to explore different parts of the world, as seen in one of her profiles.

Junaid has confirmed the news that he and his ex-wife are no longer together. He posted on Instagram, saying, “The news about my divorce is true.” He also added, “This is a private matter, and I ask the media to please respect our privacy.”

Junaid and Ayesha got married in a grand ceremony at The Lanesborough, a fancy hotel in Knightsbridge, on August 22, 2021.

His parents, Maryam and Captain Safdar, couldn’t attend the wedding because they were not allowed to leave the country. Junaid also mentioned, “I hope that with this decision, we find our own paths, Insha Allah. I won’t say more about this. I wish her [Ayesha] all the best.”

After making this announcement, Junaid removed all the pictures of his former wife from his Instagram account.
