On December 29, 2023, Patrice Sue Brown (Abbey) departed from this life. Emmitt and Frieda Abbey welcomed her into the world on November 10, 1938, in Mountain View, Missouri. She is a Mountain View High School graduate.
She met Thurman Hinds in Witchita, Kansas, after relocating there after high school. Dani Earle (Hinds) and Terese Clark (Hinds) were the offspring of their marriage. After that, the family relocated to Lawton, Oklahoma, making it their permanent residence. After retiring from Sun Oil, Patrice devoted her leisure time to raising her great-grandchildren and grandkids as a devoted and loving nanny.
Patrice would subsequently take her girls back to Wolf Creek in Mountain View so they could experience farm life and the comforts of being surrounded by family. Patrice loved spending time there with all of her relatives.
Danyel and her husband Matt Barnett and their kids Jude and Sadie, Aaron and Cassie Edwards and Aria and Korbyn, Chris and Katy Clark and their kids Charles and Finley, and Patrick Clark and his kids Grace and Quinn are the grandkids of Patrice that remain. Patrice has a large family of cousins, friends, nieces, and nephews.
Patrice was a devoted mother, Nanny, sister, aunt, and friend who was well-liked by many. She liked making everyone she knew happy, and she had an amazing sense of humor. She loved her friends and family dearly. Her absence will be felt deeply.
