Indian actress and model Riya Sen was born on 24th January 1981 to veteran actress Moon Moon Sen and Bharat Dev Varma. She has a sister Raima Sen who is also an actress. She comes from the royal family of Tripura. She was born in Kolkata, West Bengal and completed her schooling and graduation from there. She started her career as a model and was featured in a number of famous music videos including Yaad Piya Ki Aane Lagi, Jhumka Gira Re, Kahin Kahin Se, Jeena Hai Tere Liye, and many more. She was also seen on several magazine covers and did a number of fashion shows. However, she made her acting debut at a very young age in 1991 with Vishkanya. Later in 2001, she made her debut as a leading actress in the film Style which was a commercial success. Next, she was seen in the film Jhankar Beats (2003) which was also a commercial hit. Over the years, she was seen in films like Qayamat: City Under Threat (2003), Shaadi No. 1 (2005), Apna Sapna Money Money (2006), Paying Guests (2009), etc. Other than her Bollywood career, Riya also made an appearance in Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and English films.
