Cloete Murray Son: Thomas Murray and Father Cloete Were Killed

Cloete Murray was a South African liquidator who was shot during a brazen attack at the Engen Big Bird 1 Stop on an N1 north highway in Midrand with his son who was also murdered on 18 March 2023.

Cloete was a married man who had a son named Thomas Murray. Thomas was a legal advisor. In the Attack, Thomas died on the scene whereas his father Cloete was rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment but the doctor announced Cloete as dead. Officials said,

“The two men, reportedly a father and son, were traveling together when their vehicle was shot at by unknown suspects. The son was fatally shot, while the father sustained injuries and was taken to hospital.”

Police said,

“The circumstances that led to the shooting are unknown at this stage. Police request anyone who may have information that can assist with the investigation to contact the crime stop line.”

Police are doing an investigation into the case of Cloete and his son’s murders and attempted murder following a shooting incident.

Thomas Murray Shot Dead

Cloete Murray was 50 years old when he died whereas his son Thomas was 28 years old. Cloete and his son were driving their white Toyota Prado toward their home in Pretoria. Police spokesperson Simakatso Sello said,

“The second victim in yesterday’s shooting at Midrand, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries earlier this morning. The Police will now be investigating two counts of murder.”

He added,

“The two men were traveling together when their vehicle was shot at by unknown suspects. The son was fatally shot, while the father sustained injuries and was taken to hospital.”

Thomas Murray was sho in the head and a bullet lodged in his brain that’s why he died on the scene. Thomas worked as a high-profile liquidator team.
