Don’t fret if you’ve come across TikToks showing diesel trucks on fire, as there’s more to it than meets the eye.
Some users of the social media platform are notorious for circulating conspiracy theories that are too convincing sometimes. This holds true in the case of the recent videos on TikTok of semi and heavy-duty trucks blowing up without rhyme or reason.
To make it more convincing, trolls have also tried to drag the President of the United States into this in ways you wouldn’t have imagined, but let us tell you now it’s nothing but a poorly fabricated hoax.
TikTok is full of diesel trucks on fire
TikTok is filled with videos showing semi and heavy-duty diesel trucks on fire or blowing up, leaving the users wondering if their vehicles could be at risk too.
Some users have hopped on to the ongoing discussions centering on these petrifying clips, claiming their diesel vehicle allegedly caught fire too.
The viral clips show trucks in the driveway or by the highway on fire, with extreme dramatic music playing in the background. As if this alone wasn’t nerve-wracking, the accompanying captions make wild claims about the alleged involvement of the US government in it, which only seems like a cheap attempt to gather clout.
However, a few sensible TikTok users were quick to brush these off as a hoax and called out the trolls for circulating either old clips or photoshopped images of trucks on fire and claiming it was a recent occurrence.
@double_06s😢 sorry to everyone losing thier trucks recently. Really didnt think it was a big deal, but now it seems like a lot of these older diesel trucks are catching on fire right as the EPA is cracking down on diesels. Something isnt adding up.

Trolls use old Joe Biden clip to fool people
A clip depicting Joe Biden‘s 2019 speech about the government’s plans to cut planet-warning emissions by the end of 2023 by switching to electric vehicles is being used to explain the unproven rumors that diesel trucks are randomly catching fire because the gas in it is infiltrated with other chemical substances.
Trolls have gone to the extent of stitching these unrelated clips into their videos to make it seem like the POTUS was hinting at eliminating the diesel vehicles, thus alleging the government’s involvement in the fire incidents in the current year.
However, you must know there’s no truth to it and this too is just another trick to fool you into believing what they’re claiming, without any facts to back it up.
A few videos come with overlay texts that read, “Joe Biden said this right before all the diesel were catching fire. Think about that for a minute,” whereas the clip featuring POTUS is from years ago and has nothing to do with trucks catching fire.
Users refute truck fire claims
Not everyone is convinced by the trolls’ attempts to pull a prank with the misrepresentation of facts.
A few content creators have called out the photoshopped images and videos of trucks catching fire, while others have tried to get to the bottom of the scientific facts that have been twisted to bring the conspiracy theory to life.
One user said: “I haven’t seen one semi on fire. These are old clips obviously.”
“My brother in laws truck caught on fire and it had to do with the heated seat wiring. The insurance guy said just that week there were seven truck fires due to. I am not falling for this,” wrote another.
A third user wrote: “This was a while back tho, people were making offroad edits using that clip.”
