Gave Stevenson is an American professional wrestler who was accused, along with another wrestler, of sexual misconduct.

Steveson used to be a professional freestyle and folkstyle wrestler in the United States. He is currently under contract with WWE. Under his real name, he has a spot on the Raw brand, but he hasn’t played in a match yet.

He is the second Olympic wrestling gold medalist to be hired by the organization. The first was Kurt Angle. Steveson won the gold medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics. He beat three-time World Champion Geno Petriashvili in the freestyle final and current Olympic champion Taha Akgül.

What are the claims of sexual misconduct against Gabe Stevenson?

Gable Steveson’s alleged history of sexual assault has come up again. When the “CringeWrestlingTakes” Twitter account posted a screenshot of a fan criticizing AEW for hiring alleged abusers and a statement about Steveson’s past, wrestling fans jumped on it.

Steveson and Dylan Martinez, who was on his wrestling team at the University of Minnesota, were charged with raping a woman in 2019.

Steveson wasn’t charged because Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman thought the evidence wasn’t strong enough to move forward with the case.

Steveson and Martinez were both put on the team’s suspension list after being held in connection with the incident. After the accusations were dropped, they went back to the group right away.

In the first post, it was said that AEW was willing to work with sexual predators, that Impact let Scarlett Bordeaux go to avoid a lawsuit, and that Shingo Takagi, who is the current NJPW champion, supports sexual assault. Gable Steveson’s name was brought back into the conversation by the retweet. He has a NIL contract with WWE right now.

Learn the latest about the case and who the victim was

The case is back in the news after a Twitter account gave some new information about it. A Twitter account called @Cringewrestlingtakes posted a bunch of facts about what was going on.

But the victim of the case has stayed anonymous, and the public still doesn’t know who the victim is. The case was also thrown out because there wasn’t enough proof and alcohol was a factor.

So Gable wasn’t held responsible for all the charges against him, and he was free to go.

Learn about Gable Stevenson’s job and life

At the 2018 US Open Nationals and the US World Team Trials in April and May, Steveson beat competitors like Junior World Champion Dom Bradley and NCAA Division I All-American Tanner Hall to finish 4th.

As a redshirt freshman in the NCAA, Gable won championships at the Daktronics and Bison Open tournaments.

Since November, when his redshirt was taken away, he has gone 14-0 in dual meets, won the Cliff Keen Invitational, and beaten several highly ranked opponents, including the second-ranked Derek White in his first college meet.

Even though Steveson signed a contract with WWE, it was announced in September 2021 that he will go back to college wrestling under a NIL contract. Steveson won his third and last conference championship with a 13-0 record, going undefeated during the regular season and sweeping the B1G Championship without needing extra points.
