Tom Segura left everyone shocked after he shared a picture of himself in the hospital. In the picture, the comedian can be seen with a plaster on his leg.
Tom left all of his followers worried after she shared the picture. However, he assured everyone that he was doing better as he captioned the image, “Thanks for all the messages. I’m moving along in recovery. These are just the issues one has when you’re really really really strong.” But fans could not stop wondering what went wrong.
How did Tom Segura injure himself?
Tom’s fans were curious to know what had happened that landed him in the hospital. The comedian finally broke his silence on social media as he revealed the accident occurred while he was playing basketball.

Taking to his Twitter he joked, “I guess I don’t need my basketball shoes anymore.” Following this, many wondered if Tom had been playing with his friend Bert Kreischer when the incident happened. However, he put an end to all those rumors as he tweeted, “You guys Bert didn’t break my ankles. We weren’t playing each other when this happened. He can barely dribble.”

He then went on to reveal what really happened as he wrote, “I know it sounds crazy but it really happened…dunking.” Bert too replied to this as he wrote, “I would argue that @tomsegura’s “dunk” will go down in Slam Dunk History & might even be the most-watched dunk of all time!!!” Tom even replied to one of the followers and stated he would upload a video of the dunk that landed him in the hospital soon.
Fans wished Tom Segura a speedy recovery
“I know how it feels buddy. Broke my 5th metatarsal last year playing basketball. Thoughts and prayers” wrote one fan. “Glad you’re doing okay! This is such a miserable time to be in the hospital but I hope the surgery goes well and you’re back home recovering soon! Good luck Jean,” another added.
