There are a handful of important elements when it comes to crafting the perfect TV series. It has to offer compelling characters, it has to look good, and just as importantly, it has to sound good, and that includes delivering a soundtrack that fits just right. In the case of Yellowstone, there are no worries on these fronts.
Looking back, Taylor Sheridan and John Linson’s American neo-Western drama first hit screens in 2018 and gradually began to develop strong word of mouth across the season.
By the end, there were plenty of audiences flocking to dive in and see what all the fuss is about. They learned rather quickly and haven’t looked back since, continuing to follow the conflicts along the borders of a large cattle ranch, an Indian reservation, and land developers.
The show returned for its fifth season on Sunday, November 13th 2022 and it’s been a must-see each week. On the latest, let’s contemplate the Yellowstone season 5 episode 4 soundtrack and songs that feature.
Yellowstone season 5 episode 4 soundtrack songs
Songs played in Yellowstone season 5 episode 4 include The Good I’ll Do by Zach Bryan and New Friends by Lainey Wilson.
Although the installment isn’t packed with songs, the ones that do feature are pretty special, all things considered.
Zach is a 26-year-old American singer-songwriter from Oklahoma and the song features on his 2022 album American Heartbreak; it’s track 23 and streaming on all platforms. He’s perhaps best known for such cuts as Something In The Orange, Heading South, and Oklahoma Smokeshow.
On the other hand, New Friends is a track that audiences won’t have heard before. Why? Well, Lainey Wilson’s new song actually premiered on Yellowstone and was released as part of her brand new album Bell Bottom Country on Monday, November 28th 2022. It’s the closing track; similarly, the album can be found on streaming platforms such as Spotify.
The 30-year-old American country artist recently made waves featuring on the Hardy track Wait In The Truck, but her biggest songs include Heart Like A Truck and Things A Man Oughta Know.
‘Those songs never even get chosen’
Not only that, but Lainey Wilson also stars in Yellowstone season 5 as a musician named Abby. She recently spoke to the Express about the opportunity and how she was able to showcase her music through the show:
“A lot of the songs in the show are songs that are coming off of my new record. But there are a few that were written for the show and it’s so interesting to see where they end up placing these songs. A lot of the time it’s not what you would expect, a lot of my songs that got used previously on Yellowstone are not the kind of songs where I’d sit down and think ‘I’m writing this for Yellowstone’.”
She continued: “I have done that with a few songs and those songs never even get chosen. It’s just so interesting how they work. I pretty much sent them over what I had and they said ‘Let’s do this and this’. Some of it fits perfectly into the storyline and other times it’s not like the song is for a specific storyline.”
How many episodes in Yellowstone season 5?
Yellowstone season 5 will be made up of 14 episodes in total.
That will make it the longest to date, as the first offered nine and all others have delivered a neat 10.
With that in mind, it’s sure to be one for the books and viewers can continue the journey every Sunday.
